PCM-VT carries out the Presbyterian Church (USA)'s ministry at Virginia Tech. The ministry is a covenant partnership with four covenant partner churches,  the Presbytery of the Peaks, the Westminster Foundation, and Friends of Cooper House, founded in the early 1960s for the purpose of providing financial and spiritual support to the ministry. The office of Presbyterian Campus Ministry is located in Cooper House, adjacent to the Virginia Tech campus.  Oversight for the ministry is provided by a board of directors.
